A consumer products company was experiencing high abandonment rates on their online store. 70% of sales were generated through their online portal, so any opportunity to capture more sales would have a large impact on the business.
Our goal was to investigate and understand consumer intentions and influence their decision to complete their purchase.
We designed algorithms to infer customer behavior, predicting who was most likely to abandon a purchase. By using “experimentation sprints,” we tested ways to influence customer behavior and encourage more sales.
We improved conversions at each step in the sales funnel, from the initial awareness of the product to the final purchase, as well as the redirect back to the store after the cart was abandoned. Sales conversions improved by 20-25%.
